It’s that wonderful time of the year when everyone goes crazy buying stuff. Unfortunately, my money is tight right now, and I can’t treat myself to anything. So if any of you lovely followers want to spoil me, send me a message and I could give you a link to my Amazon wishlist. :)
It’s hot, but I’m wearing the cardigan because fashion ♔
How do y’all feel about my blog focusing more on makeup and beauty? I’m really happy with the looks I’ve done lately. I’ve gone from feeling that makeup is a necessary evil to truly enjoying working with it. I still have a lot to learn, so I’ll be collecting resources, and connecting with folks who know what they’re doing.
That does sound interesting! I’m gonna check it out right now

I’m not a fashion expert at all, but it is one of my hobbies. First, I would figure out what style of clothes you want to wear. Figuring out your style is the fun part. I’m sure there are some clothes that you look at and say “Wow, I gotta wear that!” Follow that.
Decide whether or not you want to wear colors. I like creating contrast with complementary colors and trios and the whole shebang, but my wife rarely wears anything but black and white. She kills it, though!
The last step is figuring out your measurements. What kind of figure do you have? There are countless guides out there to help girls find the right cuts to make the most of their figures. Girls like us have to pay attention to shoulder to hip ratios. I like flared skirts, but I can get away with tight jeans and pencil skirts if I wear a top or accessories that draw the eyes away from my big shoulders. A lot of it is distraction and misdirection ;)
It takes awhile to build up a good wardrobe. My first outfits looked terrible, but I tired different clothes, kept doing research, and got some help from my wife. I definitely don’t see any reason why you can’t improve your style!

My favorite dress from last year still fits! I also tried a side-part, and I think it does a decent job hiding that big forehead.

True. I need to figure out what to do with my hair now that it’s so long. Maybe I’m trying to do too much.
I started presenting as female seriously while I was living in Taiwan. I owe a lot to the Taiwanese, Japanese and Korean clothing that’s popular there. My inspiration for my outfits came from the street fashion I saw walking to and from work everyday. So many of the styles were more colorful, fun, and feminine than what I saw back in the states. It encouraged me to use fashion to express myself, and not to confine my new wardrobe to one “look”.
